Bryn Cohn + Artists partnered with Artists & Fleas for the Dance Extraordinary activation event to promote their backroom as a rentable space and generate hype for our upcoming show. We grabbed people’s attention by dancing in the aisles of the main marketplace while they were doing post-work Christmas shopping. The pop performance enticed new folks into the back (where they were met by invited attendees) to drink, network and catch an exclusive preview of the performance. The BC + A audience bought from the store’s vendors and we were able to share our contacts in a surprising and innovative way. I pitched various sponsors - bringing attention to this dynamic collaboration unlike any dance company had done. This evening was the sixth in our “take dance out of the theater” series - a disruptive concept to make dance more accessible in the public sector.
